COFFEE GADGETS

Here are some of the gadgets I use for their designed uses. First up is my standard french press that is best suited for many cups. This press I will use for social situations where I need to serve others besides myself. I use at least 30 grams of coarsely ground coffee for this particular press as well as about 350 grams of water at around 190 degrees. I received this press for free at a coffee shop where I worked because this particular model was recalled and deemed trash. It was recalled for its glass chamber's propensity to shatter but I am extra careful and have had no issues.

The next gadget is my Bialetti Moka Pot which I consider my most refined means of coffee production. This tool is made in Italy and used by Italians and people worldwide to create a cup that is most like espresso than a traditional drip coffee. This tool is best to create a concentrated cup as this medium is pressurized similarly to an espresso brewer. While the coffee produced is technically not espresso, it will provide an extra-strong brew to help better conquer your day.

The next pot is a vintage drip brewer used typically for camping or stovetop brewing. It holds quite a bit of grounds and a lot more water than the french press. This particular model I found in my grandparent's garage and have only used it for especially big social gatherings. It is great for a simple, classic cup great for casual settings or evening coffee consumption. The aluminum body is lightweight and portable as well.

Lastly, we have my Aeropress. This tool is my most used brewing method as it can precisely brew the perfect single cup tweaked to my likings. This little press holds about 240ml of water and makes an 8 oz cup easily. This tool, after adjusting for its learning curve, will lead the amateur brewer to the most perfect cup to their preference. This tool is a must-have for any coffee snob.
